Sometimes getting motivated is not the challenge, it is staying motivated. If you have experienced this, you are not alone. Motivation is often hindered by self-limiting behaviors or habits. Interestingly enough, many of these habits and patterns that we have developed are not really effective in keeping us motivated. According to Wikipedia, “motivation is the activation or energization of goal-oriented behavior.” Staying motivated is one of the most defining factors that separates high achievers from those who are less productive. A few consistent steps go a long way in the journey towards motivation. Start setting goals for yourself and put them in motion by taking steps toward reaching your goals everyday. Goals help us maintain focus and provide direction to achieve what we want in life. You can begin by changing up your some of your routines by trying the following:
Take a different route to work or your fitness class.
Read a book that is outside of your typical reading genre.
